@ClintonPortishead: Although the Big-10 has just won this challenge for the first time, they have certainly held their own in march. Both the ACC and Big Ten have 10 final four teams in the last ten years (That is counting the OSU final four in '99 that was removed). The ACC is always thought of the best conference, so I think the Big-10 should get some respect. However the ACC has 4 championships to the Big-10's one in that same span
@ClintonPortishead: Having 7 teams from the 48-team Big East in the top-25 is impressive, but perhaps not quite as impressive as having the nation's #1 and #2 teams from your conference (as is the case with Kansas and Texas from the Big XII).
@tim_lincecum_dumpster: No doubt the Big 12 is very strong this year, but I always think of Best Conference in a top-to-bottom context. And yes, the Big East is large, but I'd like to see any other conference get half of their teams into the Tournament.
@ClintonPortishead: I agree that the Big East is strong from the top-to-middle of the conference, but I think it is always difficult to get a fair reading on just how strong the middle-to-bottom of the conference is due, in part, to its size. When a team (like Louisville last year) goes through a full Big East season and finishes the regular season with 26+ wins, they're legit. As for putting 50% of your league in the Big Dance, several college bball "experts" predict that the Big Ten will have 7, and maybe as many as 8, of its 11 teams in the tourney this year.
It was angering and horrifying sitting in the stands at Camp Randall. Coach B isn't going to be coaching long if he keeps this type of play calling up.
Even if 40 some players had swine flu this week.....his play calling put them through hell and high water to win.
