    the Pac-10 teams play nine conference games so they shouldn't have to play a conference championship game. I disagree. Either every league should play them or none should.
    I also feel that either every lemming should jump off the cliff, or none should.

    1). Clay, I agree with you on most of these points, but it's the NCAA's fault. If they would allow conference championship games for conferences under 12 teams, every conference would do it, because it's a theoretical cash cow. But they don't, so there it is. Why should the winner of conference basketball or hockey tournaments get the automatic bid to their Big and Medium Dances respectively? If we truly value the body of work, it would go to the regular season winner. But there's less money in that, so they moved the autobids to make the tournaments mean something.


    Secondly, the NCAA rulebook has to be so thick because every time someone tries to get away with something, they have to write a rule. When you have a ten thousand something hypercompetitive people looking for any advantage they can find, you end up playing a giant game of whack-a-mole and ending up with a massive tome of rules.

    @Yostal: Couldn't agree more. The NCAA is the stupidest governing body in the history of anything. They are so greedy they can't walk past the $5 in front of their face to get the $50 on the other side of the room.
