<![CDATA[Forget All Other Tributes: Presenting The Favre Firebird]]> Got an image you'd like to see in here first thing in the morning? Send it to tips@deadspin.com. Subject: Morning crap.

I know, I know. You've had enough of the Gunslinger and all the duct taped t-shirts created in his honor. But this post should put a stop to all that because it is pretty much impossible to find a more impressive—or more fitting—memorial to the entire Brett Favre-Green Bay-Minnesota saga than this. A purple Firebird Trans-Am adorned with No. 4 decals and a "We Love You Man!" sticker on the back bumper has been spotted in, of all places, Green Bay, Wisconsin. This is the definition of perfection.

You may also rest assured that the tipster who took these photos can confirm that man behind the wheel of this beauty "took off, tires squealing." Is there any other way to drive an automobile like this? I say no.

I'm just going to go ahead and assume that Def Leppard was blasting out of the stereo as well.

<![CDATA[Ohio Is For Clunkers]]> Got an image you'd like to see in here first thing in the morning? Send it to tips@deadspin.com. Subject: Morning crap.

The only problem with the government's Cash for Clunkers program was that after everybody traded in their jalopies (Oh! I get it now) for super awesome jetpacks, dealerships were left with hundreds of broke-down heaps that no one would ever buy. The solution? Turn them into a marching band!

We lined up about one hundred cash for clunkers behind our Kasper Toyota store in Sandusky . Spelled out script Ohio perfectly! Check it out! By the way, The Block "O" flag you see is on the tallest flagpole in the state and it is the largest Block O flag in the world 30' X 60'. The photo is Courtesy of Griffing Flying Service.

The minivan must have been super-psyched to dot the I. But world's largest Block O flag? I guess you've never been to Orestes Destrade's house.

[Thanks Dave!]

It's Wednesday and September is over? But I haven't even finished my back to school shopping yet.

<![CDATA[Have You Seen This Purple Convertible?]]> Granted, Carolina linebacker Thomas Davis' $136,000 purple and chrome Caprice Classic really blends into a crowd, but it was stolen last week, so holler if you find it. Must be a lot of Panther-loving Prince fans out there. [WFMB/WRAL]

<![CDATA[Danica Patrick Finally Wins, And That's Cool With Us]]> Danica Patrick, known to many sports fans as "the woman who is competent enough to be taken seriously and attractive enough to be overrated," finally won a race this weekend. Some have been mocking the achievement, but we dunno, we think it's impressive. It's hard to win races, you know?

Sure, Patrick is overhyped because she's a woman, but ... so? It seems odd for people to mock her achievements when, you know, they don't really know anything about IndyCar racing; suddenly, everyone thinks they're experts in something when they probably couldn't name another rider in the circuit.

It reminded us of that racer who said Danica Patrick had an unfair advantage because she was smaller, allowing her car to move quicker. This struck us as quite rich. We have finally found one aspect of sport in which a woman might have a physical advantage over a man ... and people are claiming that it's unfair. Yeah, it's really unfair that men are so much larger than women and can therefore play linebacker.

<![CDATA[Remembering Back When This Race Mattered]]> Allow us to be the next in the long line of people lamenting the sorry state of the Indianapolis 500. The race has always been the only automobile-related event — save for any demolition derby — we've ever cared much about, and not just because it took place an hour-and-a-half from our house.

Now, of course, the Indy 500 is an IRL curiosity while NASCAR runs everything else on the planet, including matters of perfume, heatable meals and romance novels. The only reason anyone pays attention to the Indianapolis 500 anymore? The name, the weekend and the fact that, one of these days, an attractive woman is going to win it. (Side note: We continue to be amused by IRL drivers who complain that women do well in their sport because they're smaller and can therefore go faster. Alas: We've finally found a physical athletic advantage women might have over men, and men are all bitching about it. Figures.)

But yeah, it's Memorial Day Weekend, and we have so many memories of falling asleep on the porch while the Indianapolis 500 buzzed pleasantly behind us that we had to mention it.
