Hey Charlie, maybe if you served in Grenada, instead of hiding behind your coaching deferral, you'd be able to hold a gun without looking like my prom date handling my dick.
After the day that picture was taken the athletic trainers never again failed to keep two whirlpools full of gravy in the locker room. One for brown gravy and one for cream gravy.
his absence leaves the school without a single human being who can hold a clipboard and shout numbers.

@MarkKelsosMigraine: That tableau is as quaint as Lou Grant debating with Billie and Rossi after their month-long investigation discovers gay bashing in Haight-Ashbury (of which Animal missed getting photos because he dropped his camera), only to have Ms. Pynchon overrule Lou even though it would cost the paper thousands of dollars.

Every chicken leg ever eaten by Weis knows the feeling. You think he is done with the pile full of chicken leg bones until he starts snapping them in half to suck out the marrow.
The move to go pro now really is the best move for Jimmy Clausen and Golden Tate. I'm sure ND fans will be happy to blame Weis for it, but there is nothing to gain for Clausen, at least, in staying another year, and anyone could see that. And without his quarterback, there's no real reason for Tate to stay, either.
@Chris Hanson's Axe: True, but it could also be said (because I'm about to say it) that Weis' mistreatment of the program is the reason they have nothing to gain.
@Dashiell Bennett: Whoa, whoa. You guys can take this "reasoned argument" to a more appropriate place. You guys have used a lot of words and I don't see one reference to Weis' weight problem or Clausen's questionable sexuality. Shape up, fellas.
@Dashiell Bennett: Well go ahead and de-star me, but I think he's a good offensive coach, just not a good overall coach. His offense is pretty good; the link you gave said Clausen was the 2nd-highest rated quarterback in the country. He has had a lot of trouble in many, many areas, for example installing a 3-4 defense into the college game, which almost never works out well, but his offenses are pretty good, and I think Clausen's a lot more prepared for the NFL than someone like Tebow or Mike Leach's quarterbacks.
Michael Floyd and Golden Tate were Weis's recruits, and they were very good, and so were a few of their running backs, like Allen, Aldridge, and Hughes. I'm sure Clausen and Tate learned an awful lot from Weis, and I think he's done great things for them as individuals, along with some of the other higher talents on the offense. HOWEVA, he's messed up a lot of other things, and it shows that he shouldn't be a head coach at the college level. Doesn't mean he's not a great offensive coach, just not a good head coach.
@Chris Hanson's Axe: I think the reason that makes the most sense for Clausen to go pro is that he is losing 4-5 guys from his offensive line if I recall correctly. They weren't great this year at the point of attack, but they are going to be a whole lot worse next year.
@formerly Chief Wahoo: And who is going to be his competition? Sam Bradford and his gimp shoulder? Actually, that right there is another good reason to leave.
@Chris Hanson's Axe: As a Browns fan the idea of drafting Clausen or Bradford terrifies me. Then again, as a Browns fan, most Sunday afternoons terrify me.
