A few months ago, Clarke MacArthur was thinking about retiring. He didn’t know if he’d ever be cleared to play hockey again, and even if he were, he didn’t know if it would be safe. Now he’s a huge reason the Senators are moving on.
Bobby Ryan fought teammate Patrick Sieloff at today’s Ottawa Senators scrimmage after Sieloff laid a hit on winger Clarke MacArthur.
The Ottawa winger threaded his own needle—and a pair of Wild players—to set up Kyle Turris's shorthanded goal. Though Minnesota won, and MacArthur didn't get onto the scoresheet beyond this assist, it was pretty enough to get him named the game's second star.
