    California developed comparative responsibility, which divides fault by percentage, versus the old standard of contributory negligence. But that's for torts; not sure how California deals with the criminal charges.


    That's all I remember from first semester. I'm sure Deadspin, LLC can provide additional info.

    @Convict78: You seem to have missed the compelling argument someone made here of why they can't do that, that athletes can't be expected to leave their expensive cars overnight at a bar, so they have no choice but to drive home.
