Corrections and retractions are all over the place. Here, too. Nothing scandalous happened, it was just a case of Bonnie looking to carve out a more meaningful place for herself in this crazy world, something I doubt I'll ever get around to doing.

Michael Silver at SI.com lets Bonnie tell her own story, and I'm convinced: the woman is just way too talented and driven to be doing sideline reporting. So while we'll miss her, along with her scarves, her hats, and her ability to draw profanity out of Roy Williams, we're glad she's moving on to bigger and better things.

<![CDATA[The Least Likable Olympian Ever]]> If Bode Miller and Zola Budd had a lovechild that grew up to win an Olympic gold medal in beach volleyball after a childhood spent putting cigarettes out on puppy dogs, I'm not sure I could like that Olympian less than I like this one. You know that pop-up ad on your screen right now? The one offering you a free iPod and a bigger penis? You can thank this guy.

As SportsBiz tells us, Dale Begg-Smith, gold medalist for Australia in the men's freestyle moguls, funds his training (as well as his $300,000 Lamborghini) via pop-up ads. He's been reluctant to talk about it. Two of the companies he's involved with, however, AdsCPM and CPM Media, appear to be associated with pop-up advertising. AdsCPM is listed here under a "Spyware Blacklist."

So, just to recap, the man drives a Lamborghini, has an Olympic gold medal, and has (maybe/possibly/probably) funded them both by putting pop-ups on your computer. Is there any reason not to want to punch this man in the face?

<![CDATA[Announcements: Alas, We Meet Again]]>

Greetings and salutations, Spinheads. I, A.J. Daulerio, get the first- day duties in what is sure to be the most painful week in young Will Leitch's life. As you may or may not know, for the next week, Will's yachting around Antigua wearing an Arizona Cardinals sailor's hat with no phone, no internet and absolutely no control over what (dis)graces these hallowed pages over the next six days. But, lucky for Will, this is a slow sports week. Well, there are the Olympics. Go U-S-A, rah-rah-poop-splat, etc.

Anyway, same drill as last time: be sure to send your tips, personal insults, copy edits, tuna casserole recipes, Soduku strategies, sister's phone number or whatever it is you have rolling around your filthy, sports-addled minds to tipsATdeadspin.com

Let's get through this week together and pray that Will doesn't get attacked by pirates. That would suck in the most hilarious way possible.

<![CDATA[Rogers Holds Them, Then Folds Them]]>
You've probably seen the video by now of Rangers pitcher Kenny Rogers going after two cameramen before yesterday's Rangers-Angels game. Rogers was sent home right after the game, and the cameraman, Larry Rodriguez, was sent to the hospital.

While we wonder, having watched the video, just what injury caused Rodriguez to be all prostrate on a stretcher, we still can't help but marvel most at just how psycho Rogers is, for a 41-year-old. Rogers, despite his resurgence this year, hasn't talked to the press once, which we, unlike most people, think is fine; we've never understood why answering the same question from the same pasta-stained wretches was so vital to the public interest, or inherent in the job requirement. But you can't exactly go out and there and start kicking cameras either. Those things are expensive. We're wondering how long the suspension is; since this is The Gambler, we'll stay on 16 (games).
