...on top of that ~20 errors per game, you have over double that in intentional errors. By intentional errors, I mean events that never happened ...or events that are awarded to the wrong player. The intentional errors are organizationally sanctioned/encouraged - they increase national media coverage/interest and increase your franchise's and player's visibility. There is also league pressure to protect/enhance the stats of the elite players.
Speaking of Rockets-Blazers, my friend is flying out from Philly to Portland next Monday, going to Game 5 at the Rose Garden on Tuesday, then flying back to Philly the next day. In short, Oregonians love their one pro team.
@Juancho: As a Denver Homer, and someone who feels Denver athletes have been getting the shaft for years because they play in Denver and not in a major media market, I say yes.
@MarkKelsosMigraine: Honestly, I have no idea. I stopped paying attention to basketball after about the '97-98 season. He'll probably end up in with his # retired in Denver, and that seems fitting.
Greg Oden may be an interesting guy, but he is going to kill someone on the basketball court. He's like a a bull in a china shop. Someone needs to teach him how to control his body and play the damn game.

Don't you think Mutombo had his best years in Atlanta?
