    I appreciate Deadspin's advocacy of multi-use stadiums. They aren't always pretty and they had faults, but they do not deserve the ugly reputation they have.

    I don't want to watch sport (singular use) in a giant mall food court.

    @Chad Sexington a/k/a CW: True that. One of my fondest sports memories is watching the '02 WC match against Germany there, on the jumbotron that turned out to not be so jumbo. Great crowd, great game, awful result, but a decent end to a 36 hour soccer orgy without rest.

    But as Washington Post critic Philip Kennicott noted, the ballpark is "designed explicitly to take your money," circulating people mindlessly through a maze of stairs and escalators.

    I think all the hate here should be directed at the Nationals and not their ballpark. That is unfair judgement for a venue which allows the customer the opportunity to see winning baseball team every night... the visiting team.
