    My high school Basketball coach was a colossal prick and singled me out for 90% of his physical and mental abuse. I truly hate the man and during the final week of my senior year i sent him an anonymous Email. I called him an Asshole.

    The Dade County Prosecutor's Office has recommended 2 years' probation for Mark Becker, along with an anger management course.

    So the former player couldn't live with the fact that he is not good enough to play in the NFL and he decides to take this route to get the attention of the Bengals?

    Our sources say the brother was miffed that Thomas meted out unfair discipline to his brother and was way too tough on him and singled him out.


    I was thinking something more sinister. Regardless, it was no reason to shoot and kill someone.

    @Blast it, Biggs: What I don't get is, isn't the school year over? I mean, it's late June. Hell, football season itself was 7 months ago, and 2-a-days usually don't start for another six weeks.

    @BuddyGuyMontag: In the small town I grew up in we would eat fast food and get fat until the day before practice started in august. In a good program if you want to play you will need to be in the weight room during the off season. You bulk up during the off season and maintain during the season.

    I don't know what you can possibly say other than my prayers and condolences to Thomas' family and friends in this time of awful tragedy.


    If this was at all related to the coaching aspect of Thomas' life, then it goes to show you that some people have a hard time understanding that sports is supposed to be our escape from the daily grind, not the be-all and end-all. And that really is a shame.
