    Alright DUAN!, situation. I am a bartender one night a week (tonight was the night) and there was what I first thought to be a couple at the bar. Then I realized the guy was like 60 and the girl was like 32. Then when he went to the bathroom and she told me that he is her boss, they are in town on business from Milwaukee. Still every time I walk by, their conversations seem to be about his sexual exploits (yes bartenders listen to your conversations). Throughout the night she was mildly flirting, letting me know she was staying in a hotel nearby, and they were the last two people in the bar, so I had to lock up behind them, and when they left I slipped her my number... so should I be disappointed that I sit here typing this to you or should I not really care. It's still a shot at the ego when you don't get the call.

    @Ailanthus-altissima: I think it's weird when bartenders go out of their way to hit on girls. I've certainly flirted my way into getting free drinks and numbers and whatnot from them, but every time the bartender initiates it I just get kinda creeped out. I think it is that weird breach of professionalism - and if something's gonna go down, I want to at least feel like I was the one who broke him down and he's not going around doing this every night. You know?

    @White Speed Receiver: I've been weighing that same consideration, though on the heels of a newborn it is probably a bad idea. Far less stressful, though. We've staved off salaried cuts so far, at least, so I know I am much luckier than most.

    @JB*: Yeah, it's bad enough having to re-introduce yourself to the significant other on April 16th. I can only imagine how much fun it would be to throw kids and school in there.


    We let go of a healthy mix of youth and experience today. 2 people with less than 5 years experience and 2 people with more than 10. Interesting times.

    @lollier: Yes, it is terrible. I was really rooting for him at first, but it pretty clear now that he just doesn't have the chops for this. He's not smart and witty enough, to be honest. It really makes me sad when I see ?uestlove just scowling the whole time, too. Poor guys.

    @MarissaExplainsItAll: Mine is at final draft stage. I sent off to my friend to be edited, she was just about to hit save to send it back to me, and she lost it. It just disappeared. This makes me sad, as I hate editing. So I'm just casting dirty glances at it, trying to make it edit itself.
