    I think the ballhawks and the players are huge piles of douchiness. Does anyone really want us to feel sorry for the pro athletes? A jersey and two signed bats is not that much. I find it crazy that teams charging current ticket prices are acting like fans are evil for trying to get something back.

    It was a clear day, and I was tending my melon patch, far from the house. Suddenly I heard the horrible screech from above - BALLHAWKS!.


    I knew I was foolish for not wearing my steel underwear that day, but I never expected it to happen to me.


    With a whoosh, the giant bird swooped from the sky, knocked me down and began tearing at my jeans. WHY BALLHAWK, WHY?

    I saw a kid at a Braves game last season do the jersey swap thing. For the Marlins! This crap hobby has spread to the kids.
    /still bitter I never caught a foul ball or HR at a MLB game.

    The solution to this is easy. On the scoreboard and over the PA just make the announcement:


    Because of extortion by a few select people, we will no longer allow fans to keep any baseballs that are hit into the stands. All foul balls and home runs must be given to the nearest usher.


    You can blame these assholes, currently in section XXX Row XXX Seat XXX for this new policy


    Then pan to them in the stands.

    Teams are now leery of these folks, knowing that whenever one of their players does something meaningful they have to enter into complex negotiations with some punk in the bleachers.


    MLB teams should be aware that Steve Phillips is available to execute these negotiations.
