This is extremely juvenile, even for me... but when Butt Daredevils invade the sports world, I feel like you have a right to know. What you see above is a brief CBA game recap from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, with either an unfortunate typo (which has since been fixed), or a copy editor who's lashing out after his beloved Xplosion (home of Kevin Pittsnogle) lost.

It was only a matter of time, really, before some Butt Daredevil got ahold of Pittsnogle and just worked him over. The temptation is just too great. And when a butt daredevil starts to have his way, it's always been my experience that an explosion of some kind is sure to follow.

<![CDATA[Kevin Pittsnogle, All-Star For A 2-26 Team]]> You were wondering whatever happened to former Pittsburgh West Virginia hoops start Kevin Pittsnogle, weren't you? WEREN'T YOU? ADMIT IT!

Anyway, the wedding model isn't done with hoops to any stretch. In fact, he's representing the Pittsburgh XPlosion in the CBA All-Star Game. How are the XPlosion doing, anyway?

Pittsnogle went undrafted by the NBA, then signed as a free agent, but when he couldn't make the Boston Celtics (who have only lost 14 straight) he tumbled to the Continental Basketball Association, where he has led the Xplosion to a record of 2-26. You read that right. The Xplosion have won four fewer games than the Utah Eagles, who folded last month.

If you can't miss Pittsnogle's electric All-Star game debut, you can watch the CBA All-Star Game tonight on ... well ... you can watch it online.

<![CDATA[All Hail Kevin Pittsnogle]]> If you're like us — and Lord help you if you're so unfortunate — you're big fans of West Virginia folk hero Kevin Pittsnogle. The guy is so unusual, we never quite know what to make of him. All we know is that every time the Mountaineers are on television, we can't help but watch everything he's doing. He's just a big goofy guy who happens to play for an excellent team that it's impossible not to root for.

Not a lot of people know this, but Pittsnogle is not only married, but he also has a child. And, bless him, he posted pictures of the couple's October 2004 wedding on a Webshots page, labeled "the happiest day of my life!"

Guy looks awfully happy too, particularly with that hat. We actually think this photo is the best one. We find these pictures so unbearably sweet that we want to go buy a Pittsnogle jersey right now. Or maybe just that vest.

We love this guy.
