Seriously? Deadspin covers this, but not McNamee's vindication? Smells ESPNesk. Seems like professional losers are making huge strides today; as apossed to the usual recreational users on American Idol. [entertainmentjam.polijam.com]
@Shakey: He drank Beam when he couldn't afford Jack. Of course, he did have periods when he was drinking Vodka instead of whiskey by the half-gallon.
Amazingly enough, he did end up broke a lot from the drugs, the lifestyle and through not-that-great contracts in the early years. Some of the best stories are from when he and Axl lived in a fucking storage unit.
It's a really good read throughout. I picked it up after hearing an interview he did on the Jim Rome show, of all places.
What has two thumbs and dropped $130.00 on v-day dinner and is probably still going sexless tonight b/c my lady is already asleep on the couch? THIS GUY!!

Jim Beam. The ultimate Bourbon when you can't afford a good bourbon.
As Slash said in his excellent auto-biography: "It's the poor man's Jack."

I made it very clear to my little sister: if you're ever going to dump a guy, think about his wallet.

Just about everything they've done since say about the time Sharon went into the coma though has been wrong, except this.
