<![CDATA[Getting Friendly With the Swedes]]> The United States Men's National Team is back in action tonight at 8:30 in an international friendly against Sweden, and that means good soccer and sexy women. Tonight's contest is being held in Carson, California, so we're going to be in for a heavier dose of the puritanical American fans. Since we probably won't get any crowd shots of hot Swedes in the crowd, I figured I'd provide the blond goodness myself. Continue after the jump for a quick preview of the friendly and some more fans of the beautiful game.

Things will surely look different tonight then when the Swedes hosted the Americans back in August. Star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic carried the home side to a hard-fought 1-0 victory in a match against an American roster stacked with European talent. The biggest stars remain with their respective European clubs which means increased opportunities for several young stars looking to break into the starting 11.

Enjoy the battle, and follow along in the comments if you're in to that sort of thing. I'll be back with an update later in the night.

<![CDATA[One More Time To Kill the Pain]]> Well here we are, staring at what's likely to be the final game of the 2007 Major League Baseball season. If Leitch were here he'd probably be inconsolable, but I think I'm handling it just fine. After the marathon regular season the post season has been unremarkable at best. I'm ready for next year to start; my Nats were a huge surprise this year (remember all of those people predicting the worst season ever?) are moving into their new digs in a matter of months. If this is all there is for the baseball season then I bid it adieu and welcome the return of The Simpsons and Sunday Night Football. Regardless, I'll be watching, hoping for one of those miracles I'm always hearing about. It's Jon Lester vs. Aaron Cook, I dare you to think about changing the channel.
