"Screw the Big East," eh? Fine. They did get much knob-slobbering from the national press this year.
But while you gloated over the fact that nobody from the Big East appeared in the championship game, an argument could be made that nobody from the Big Ten did, either.
Again, I hate to bring this up, but there's so much talk about how MSU could have finally brought something to cheer about to the state of Michigan...did Detroit/the state of Michigan derive no excitement from the Red Wings winning the Stanley Cup? I know most of America doesn't care about hockey, but Detroit cares, right?
@Kid Canada: Yes, of course, it was a false assumption. But also--Southeast Michigan generally doesn't care about MSU anyway. There are State fans that live there, of course, but it's mostly Ann Arbor territory.
With 10 minutes to go in the first half I was tempted to take the next flight to Raleigh-Durham Airport and get there just in time for the Franklin Street celebrations to begin...

Congratulations to the Tar Heels!

Sorry, "Big East Fans." You don't magically get to share North Carolina's bragging rights.
