@JB*: Yep. FYI, Hyatt McCormick is close enough for walking (unless you're disabled) - i've gotten responses ranging from .1 miles to 1 miles away from the field. Cheap rate online was around 110/night, AAA discount is better.
@J-Animal: @JB*: @Sculptor?!? I just met her!: It's not the distance that's crucial here. There's a few areas between the hotel and stadium that you really don't want to be walking through, even if you know very well how to get through there. The Red and Green lines aren't that far from the hotel and would be a better idea.
@StevePerryPsychOut: noted. trying to find a balance between distance and affordable is tough. basically looks like the Mccormick place Metro stop is right in front of the hotel, but that doesn't look like it would get us to the field without lots of transfers etc. is walking the three or so blocks to the cermak/chinatown line okay? that one looks like it'll stop right at the park.
@Sculptor?!? I just met her!: yup, Chinatown is where you want to go. The Red Line is right there and will take you (more or less) to center field at Comiskey. The Metra will be of no help, so just skip that one entirely.
Walking to the Loop will be a-o-k from there, but going south and west aren't the best ideas in that spot.
Also - when do you all get in? I'm likely around that Thursday and could/would do some lunch and/or dinner/drinks with anyone in town...
@This.Is.Malcolm: I love the Roots. However, playing 45 second songs in between cringe-worthy Fallon segments isn't my preferred forum for their excellence.
I am getting so tired of everyone jumping on D-Wade for MVP now. He is a great player, having a great year, who had a great game last night: but LeBron is better. LBJ has similar stats in less minutes on a better team with great defense. Additionally, he is on pace to record the highest PER ever in a single season at 32 (MJ never broke 31.7). Furthermore, those who say that stats matter more than team wins should look at the LeBron campaign last year: he had better stats than DWade does this year and was on a better team, yet didn't really come close to winning MVP. I'm sorry to explode like that, but...it's like no one has ever watched the NBA before! JEEE SUSSS
@JB_Smoove: He's had a bunch of great games lately. Maybe he hasn't been on Kobe & LeBron's level all season, but I don't mind people saying that Dwayne is at least in the conversation now. The award is MVP, not who's the best player in the league.. LeBron not coming close last year in a similar situation somehow should work against Wade? Two wrongs don't make a right here.
I'd still probably put D. Wade as #3 but personally I like that he's getting recognized for carrying his team on his back and putting up his numbers. Likely Bron's year in any case.
