    Chappelle attempted to claim that Margarito had similarly loaded gloves that went undetected last year when Margarito knocked out the seemingly indestructible Cotto in Las Vegas.


    Unfortunately, no one could take these claims seriously when Chappelle ended every point with, "I'm Rick James, bitch!"

    Absolutely brilliant fight by Shane. He had a perfect strategy which changed slightly round-by-round. He's been hit and miss in different fights but last night was a masterpiece.

    What an extraordinary performance by Mosley. The most impressive part was his defense; he seemed to be slipping, blocking or parrying just about everything Margarito threw at him. Even better, he was constantly turning that defense into offense with brutal counter rights.


    With all due respect to your mancrush, it's probably to Berto's benefit that he won't have a chance to fight Mosley for awhile. Based on their form from their last fights, you'd have to consider Shane a pretty clear favorite over Berto right now.

    @blogsarefun: I thought Kellerman framed it well; Berto seemed to land the cleaner power punches, and that swayed the 2 competent judges.


    Is anyone/everyone else ready to see Larry Merchant get the boot in favor of Kellerman for the big fights?

    @Analrapist: Hells yeah. Merchant sounds like he had a stroke and never recovered. Conversely I love listening to Kellerman. Been a fan since the "Max on Boxing" show on public access tv.
