    @chicago1: yes, it's called depth of focus, my point wasn't really about "how is it done" but that it's a particularly messed up choice to have clarity to her face, mid-section of the scarf, and right hand... my overall point that this was a total puff shot to accompany the inarguable puff text, more appropriate to US Weekly than an actual reputable newspaper. [yes, I am laughing as i write "reputable"]. bottom line: she's not anywhere that hot, look at the action shots again...

    Ah, very good, we've finally reached the point in this story's development where we all shake our heads because the collective "they" overreacted to a single game's worth of video and deemed her a she-devil in spite of absolutely no previous record of dirty play, and now we're all going to swing to the other side of the debate because she gave a heartfelt interview and a smarmy photo shoot? Gotcha. I'm on board.

    Go Elizabeth Lambert! I know practically nothing about you but have made now two diametrically opposed and absolute value judgments on you as a person based on a grand total of probably five hours of your life! Hooray!

    Lambert said she was shaken and appalled by some of the responses she received in e-mail messages, telephone messages and on blogs, ... and one suggestion that "I should be taken to a state prison, raped and left for dead in a ditch."

    What kind of dumbass would send her a message like that?
    Why would you drag a struggling woman to a prison, of all places, first? Just do it in the ditch.
