    Calling Travis Roy a "stand up guy" on draft day was in poor taste.

    And if we dont select Tavares, I will personally slide Garth Snow down a giant razor blade into a pool of rubbing alcohol...

    @Hit Bull Win Steak: Listening to some sort of hockey speak on this box in my car, the Rangers GM mentioned that he would take Duchene #1 if he was the Isles.

    Duchene is slotted somewhere in the middle of the 1st round...nowhere close to first.

    Your move Garth Snow.

    @bighead82: Duchene is rated third. He moved up a lot over the course of the year and was dominant in the playoffs.

    @Hit Bull Win Steak: This could be another Daigle/Pronger year.

    @bighead82: of course, we'll value the opinion of the GM with the league's highest payroll who cant get to the 2nd round of the playoffs. Call me when Ken Holland or Lou Lamaierello says it.

    @bighead82:

    Duchesne is rated #3 by pretty much every scouting service.

    Some people are reminded of this being the draft where Alexandre Daigle was the unquestioned #1 pick and a big powerful defenceman went #2 - Chris Pronger. Hedman has Pronger-type talent.

    @Hit Bull Win Steak: If its not Tavares, imagine the collective response of the City of Toronto with TB having the second pick. I think it would be something akin to Michael Hutchence finding a plastic bag store.

    You think the stereotype is that hockey players are dumber than the rocket scientists playing baseball, football and basketball?

    @Searching for Derek Fisher®:

    My comment was that I don't believe there's a stereotype that hockey players are stupid. I think they're generally regarded as being the smartest of the major four sports. Whether that's a racism thing, I don't know, but I don't think that's the stereotype.
