The flipside of the rise of the internet is that the Norm McDonalds of the world have a whole lot more platforms to be vulgar than ever before. Maybe not at the Espys or at a Super Bowl half time show, but there's plenty of money to be made in mid-underground media.
Anyway, I tend to view any complaints about political correctness with a raised eyebrow of suspicion. It's usually code for "I'm intellectually lazy and I have a revisionist view of how things used to be", and PC as we know it is basically a product of think tanks that have been working for the last 20 years to make Americans think America has become wussified.

I turned on the TV and Happy Gilmore is on. It was the part where Happy's making out with that girl at the skating rink and the zamboni driver's lip synching to "Endless Love". I didn't realize until now that he was singing Diana Ross's part. That scene always gets me.
