    Ironically, said skyline view has now been blocked by a hideous new city-owned hotel that they built right next door to the convention center, because apparently people don't come to conventions if they have to go outside.

    I will not hear any ugly talk about Camden Yards. I practically grew up there and as far as I'm concerned, it is a cathedral.

    So.... now we're complaining that stadiums create a culture of originality and creative design?

    Gosh, you're right. i want the old days where every stadium was a giant circular field with astroturf with the only option being "dome or no dome."

    Also, seriously, who the fuck complains about getting a dog at the stadium? That sounds like the coolest giveaway ever.

    Memorial Stadium had a lot of obstructed seats, as my watching the 1983 world series could attrest to. But it was a great neighborhood - a real neighborhood. Camden Yards is dying not because the team sucks, but because the people who spend the money to 'go' to camden yards have become bored with it like they are bored with the rest of their miserable lives.

    I opened the bullpen phone to see that they had the number for Pizza Hut written down. No wonder the Orioles were awful; too busy crank calling Pizza Hut

    Sid Fernandez and Lee Smith were on the Orioles that season. I'm pretty sure those weren't crank calls.
