ESPN's Page 3 Clings Desperately To Life
The handsome man pictured here is Jim Morgenthaler, an employee of ESPN and the "Draft Day Commissioner" of ESPN's Fantasy Game Night. Handsome fellow, we know. Why do we bring him up? Because he's currently the centerpiece of ESPN.com's Page 3, proof that the oft-forgotten page is still alive and kicking with its unique fusion of sports and Hollywood Gossip! Page 3 Brain Cell Destroyer Of The Day
Page 3 continues its slow, underfunded, rotting flop toward death they have to be averaging like three stories a week with an interview with Jon Bon Jovi. The dramatically maned one talks about ownership of AFL's Philadelphia Soul (his co-owner is Ron Jaworski!), his gripping performance in NBC's "Las Vegas" and his existential crisis (really). Only one worthy tidbit here: Last year, Bon Jovi fired the Soul's coach. Imagine being a football coach who is fired by Jon Bon Jovi. Perhaps that's a sign for a career change. More »
