That's nothing compared to the time Nathan Drake had to scour the base of the Marianas Trench in a bathyscaphe to apologize for stealing the Royal Treasure of Atlantis. #mediameltdowns

On a baseball note, I'm wondering how fellow Mets fans are feeling about the pending world series. I've been going though a weird thing over the last few weeks of actually *gulp* rooting for the phillies, seeing them as having by far the best shot to overtake the yankees in the fall classic--which by my count is by far the #1 priority.
So I've kinda felt dirty over this time period even marginally rooting for the phillies over even the dodgers. Its gotten so bad that as James Loney made contact with his first inning home run I even let out a little involuntary "no!" just after the ball was struck.
Do I need to be exorcised? Am I crazy? Am I right?
Duke, Muggs, and others, feel free to discuss. #mediameltdowns

The Yankees. At least I can rationalize that they needed to spend a quarter of a billion in the off season in order to win a World Series. #mediameltdowns

Who hasn't worked at a big company where sexual exploits would go down? the stories I could tell, and I was a choir boy. #mediameltdowns

I might feel differently if I lived outside the metropolitan area, but if the Yankees were playing a team of marauding, baseball-playing aliens in a seven-game series for the future of mankind, I would swallow deep, shake my head, and-- with sadness but no regrets-- slip on a Team Aliens hat. #mediameltdowns

Surprisingly though, a fair amount of Phillies paraphernalia can now be seen at my school on various kids I never knew even cared about baseball. Tools.
I gotta say though, I have to respect Philly for filling their entire ballpark (including those passkey seats behind home plate) for a playoff game. Yankees couldn't do that, and I hate to say it, but I highly doubt that the Mets could fill it either for such a game.
I still miss Shea. Is that related? #mediameltdowns

If it had been AB's fucking BA's, then today surely would have been ESPN's Waterloo.

Those people are obviously terrible human beings and stupid to boot - if Deadspin posting this stuff is "pathetic," how about a major corporation/network covering up for and blatantly allowing a culture of sexual harassment/discrimination/blackmail for the past 30 years. It's incredible that this still goes on today. Mike Freeman's ESPN book that exposed much of this stuff for the first time was published 7 years ago and nothing has changed; in many ways it seems to have only gotten worse. #mediameltdowns
