    Kudos on a job well done. I can say with your guidance, I'd pause briefly before posting some unfunny comment anyways. But at least I thought about it. A little.

    Iracane's last post is his best. Going for quality over quantity is a nice emphasis to remember... personally I think the puns have gotten out-of-control, but that's perhaps neither here nor there.


    On another honest note: I will not miss him as Ombudsman. I think the site is best when it is egalitarian and with as few rules as possible. Getting rid of the massively ignornant, offensive comments? Necessary.


    Everything else? The stars, the banning of people for jokes/references certain people didn't like? That kind of hierarchy undercuts this site. All of it lowered the fun quality of Deadspin, and was discouraging to see.


    Deadspin's peak was awhile back, and after Leitch's departure the consistent meddling, updates, and commenting self-importance has not improved things at all.


    Spontaneous and without rules. I'm hoping Deadspin embraces that concept again.
