    Jesus fucking Christ. The Denver Post beat reporter is speculating that there's an ~60% chance that Tony Granato is being brought back next season. Seriously? That's fucking insane. How the fuck can they even possibly sell that to fans. This season was a debacle of monumental proportions, spearheaded by the worst coach in the NHL, and he deserves a second chance. Why? Holy shit the Avs just pissed in my Wheaties the morning after I finally feel like the shackles of this season had been lifted. Fuck-Fuckity Fuck Fuck Fuck.

    Seriously, it's like you Avalanche fans thing you invented hockey. News flash: "Your" team and its fans were annoying douchenozzles when they were still in Quebec. Well, they tanked a bunch of seasons in a row to get to be the powerhouse you stole. You'd better get used to at least three more seasons of circling the drain, and you'd better hope like hell there aren't greener pastures for them to move to when they're done. Oklahoma City's not that far down the road you know.

    @Jayhawk Marley: Your right, I didn't realize bitching about a coach was the equivalent of acting like I invented hockey. I thought it was a frustrated fan who watched his team go from a 2nd round playoff birth to laughingstock of the league in one season, with little personnel change other than the coach, who happens to be the same coach that took one of the most loaded rosters of the last 15 years and squander a 3-1 series lead to a vastly inferior opponent. You're right, that's completely out of line


    And you're absolutely right, just because we got handed an absolutely loaded team means we shouldn't be allowed to follow it. I mean it's not like Denver area hockey fans didn't have to sit and watch their beloved, yet sorry, beloved team go somewhere else and get good, nevermind the Rockies.


    I'm sorry I have an opinion on the team I follow which has been in my hometown for 14 years now. I should be quiet and happy that my city has a team, since we "stole" it from a market the same size as Akron, Ohio. Nevermind that there was a team in Denver that many suffered through, and then they went somewhere else and got good.


    And yes the Avs and their $3.5B owner (and $3.4B wife) are probably looking to uproot the Avs, you know since they have no roots in the area. Except the Pepsi Center, and the Nuggets, and the Rapids, and Dicks Sporting Good field, and the Mammoth. But other than the 4 pro sports franchises and 2 sporting venues that they own in the Metro area they aren't committed in the area at all.
