But today the New York Daily News caught up with her and (surprise) she wholeheartedly denies any type of relationship with him. Drunk-driving enthusiast and site proprietor Nik Richie stands by his sources that the woman is, in fact, doing him.

Further, Richie says that Matthews is one of several "girlfriends" who sleep with Mets players. Richie fired back at Matthews today, charmingly calling her a "cross-eyed Rikki Lake" and re-posted the screen-shots from Matthews' MySpace page from which the story originated from.

In other potential pooch-screwing news, the Mets are still currently 1/2 game back of the Phillies in the National League East.

<![CDATA[ Somewhere, Matt Leinart Is Smiling ]]> Well, this is unfortunate. But it appears pseudonymous website proprietor "Nik Richie" of TheDirty.com was nabbed for a DUI last January and The Smoking Gun has the wince-worthy police report from the night of his arrest. Nik Richie is actually 29-year-old Hooman Karamian and, well, Jesus, let's go to some of the highlights:

While being processed by police, Karamian remarked that the cop "did not know the things he did for the community, and that a DUI would not be a good thing for him." When Karamian later refused to voluntarily provide a blood sample, he was strapped, yelling, into a restraint chair. That blood draw showed his BAC was .165, more than twice Arizona's .08 limit. Karamian, whose occupation is listed as "website writer" on an arrest report, pleaded guilty yesterday to a misdemeanor drunk driving count during an appearance in Scottsdale City Court. He was ordered to pay about $2000 in fines and court costs, directed to attend an alcohol screening program, and sentenced to four days in jail. But that sentence, which begins Sunday, grants Karamian "work release" from 7 AM to 7 PM during the week (in this case Monday through Wednesday). Karamian did not respond to e-mail messages seeking comment about his drunk driving case

Now, the Dirty has provided hours of enjoyment for us thanks to some of the embarrassing photos and salacious rumors he's broken about numerous athletes on his site. I see no reason why this incident won't be equally as popular or newsworthy.

Anyway, Nik — Hooman, sorry — next time, take a cab, buddy.

<![CDATA[ Now, Majerle's Miffed At TheDirty.com ]]>
After yesterday's legal parry with the lawyer representing Terrell Owens in his futile fight to de-Dirty.com himself from internet memory, another sports figure has also threatened legal action against the website: Thunder Dan Majerle.

Majerle hit the site this week when photos of an allegedly underage girl drinking at one of his "Majerle's" locations in Arizona surfaced and were published online. In the post, The Dirty kids called Arizona's Department of Liquor and Control"a joke," which apparently prompted the ADLC to start cracking down on Majerle's Arizona bar-staurants, a rep for the Web site says.

Annoyed by the allegation and the increased presence of the ADLC, The Thunder Dan legal team tried unsuccessfully to get the incriminating photo removed, but has since backed off — for now.

<![CDATA[ T.O. Goes After The Dirty.com ]]>
Now, there is no longer any doubt that Terrell Owens "accidentally" showed up in a frame of the BangBros. "Spring Break Ass" pictorial, as proven by a curt little letter from his attorney, Alan M. Lerner, obtained by TMZ.com, to TheDirty.com.

The letter, addressed to Nik Richie, blah-blah-blahs about all the problems the site has caused for T.O.'s "image" and demands a retraction of the language used in the post and the photo come down.

Nik Richie and his Dirty fellas are kind of pissed, obviously.

Good times. You can read through the letter and marvel at Lerner's legalese.

(UPDATE: Nik Richie tells us he's "Not worried" about any of the legal bitch slapping taking place about this.)

<![CDATA[ Matt Leinart's Actions Make TheDirty.Com Famous ]]> abc_reality_blog_080404_mn.jpgMatt Leinart's stupefying beer-bong partying and champagne-bottle fellatio did nothing to help his career as an NFL quarterback nor his promotional viability, but it did wonders for the Dirty.com. The site, once lost in the overly-crowded co-ed tit-flashing corner of the blog market, reached critical mass last week thanks to the Leinart photos. The LA Times skewered The Dirty's proprietors last week and, today, ABC News gives its spin on things. And even though Leinart boosted the site's daily numbers to almost 300,000 visits, Ari Golden, CEO and head dirt mongrel of The Dirty.com insists to ABC his site will continue to focus on "real" people, as opposed to NFL quarterbacks.

Not so fast, Golden. There's an expert out there named John Grohol, with a seemingly made-up title "editorial board member of the Journal of Online Behavior and CyberPsychology & Behavior," who disagrees with The Dirty's business model.

"You could put up 100 photos of 100 random people who are hanging out with 19-year-old girls and nobody will care until the minute you put up a celebrity's photo," this glorified "expert" tells ABC.

He makes a good point. If said 19-year-old girls are getting their faces eaten by, oh, 49ers quarterback Alex Smith, the site becomes a little more entertaining to scroll through.

Honestly, if I were a professional athlete, I'd be absolutely terrified of this site.
