    @Father of 2 Future First Rounders: Why is she a nitwit? Sure her answer wasn't polished ('opposite' marriage) and she's carrying the blonde beauty pageant stereotype, but she shared what she thought - fully knowing she her answer would be, to steal the passive aggressive phrase, 'frowned upon.'


    It's amazing how this issues stirs up such rage. Who gives a shit if someone were a groomsmen in a gay wedding? We got big ass problems as a society, but marriage isn't in the top 50. IMHO.

    @It's a little Chili Davis outside: Man, i couldn't agree more about our problems. I'll tell you why this issue stirs up rage: I worked on Broadway shows for the past 8 years and was often the only straight guy in the room. I have dozens of gay friends and have gotten alot of their stories. And there is one common thread; The intense and overwhelming shame and abuse heaped upon them by their families and churches, deep depression, and lots of suicide attempts. Ms. Prejean is fully entitled to her opinion (this is America) and churches are fully entitled to ban gays and preach hatred. I have zero problem with that. But the state is supposed to support the rights of it's citizenry. So let's just do that so we can focus on the "big ass problems" you so correctly refer to.

    Pretty sure I heard it as we have a choice to allow gay marriage or to not allow it. If 90% of the people in a state vote no why should their voice not be heard too? That of course is a vast overstatement but last time I checked gays weren't denied the right to vote, peaceable assemble, or really do any thing like that. I've been to "gay marriages" before, 2 people don't need a piece of paper to be happy or to really be married. Why is it that only thing gay marriage supporters don't tolerate is other peoples opinions right or wrong you are bashing someone for their opinion since when did that become a crime.
