    Dan Dakich coached them last year. That's all you need to know about the current state of IU basketball. Dan Dakich couldn't keep his job at BGSU, fer Chrissakes. He also lost this game because he didn't want to bring his team back out for 0.6 more seconds of basketball where an in-bounds pass would have won the game.

    The guy who played Ollie in Hooisers spoke at my company's National Sales Meeting about 8 years ago. Wow, is that guy inspiring. Hearing him tell the story of how he pretended to overcome his meekness and hit those free-throws granny style propelled our Western Region to a 3-year high in sales the following quarter.

    Now, obviously I am a little biased because I am a student at IU, but I don't see why the program can't turn around quickly. Compared to other towns with great basketball programs, Bloomington might as well be New York. Have you been to Storrs, CT lately? There is literally NOTHING to do. You think Lawrence, KS is hopping with urban nightlife? Bloomington is a college town through and through, just like Chapel Hill, Athens, or Knoxville. They seem to do okay bringing in talent.


    Also, we have a top ten recruiting class for next year, so Crean must be doing something right.

    @BubbaCJ24: You know why they call it Storrs? Because they have two now!


    Part of what brings guys to UConn is Calhoun's reputation of developing marginal players into NBA prospects. Also, proximity to New York helps for a lot of guys from the city. Nevertheless, when Calhoun leaves I'm afraid of what will happen to the program.
