    So how does that math equation factor in all the variables that would have come into play during a 60 yard drive? It can't. Should have punted.

    I'd take any quarterback having to go 60-70 yards over 29. They scored with 12 seconds left for crying out loud. #billbelichick

    @Phintastic: So, to sum up...
    1) It's math, I don't trust it.
    2) All the potential variables are unknowable.
    3) I am nevertheless absolutely fixed in my conviction that punting would have been better because, again, math? I don't trust it.
    4) 70 is better than 29, which is obvious, but completely ignores the possibility of the game-winning conversion because I will not allow the facts of the situation to intrude upon my settled opinion.
    5) I will also completely ignore the game situation and the Colts' efforts to intentionally bleed the clock in order to attempt to score cheap points with this 12 second thing.
    6) Math, I don't trust it. #billbelichick

    @UpstateUnderdog: I thought the same thing. As a Colts fan, I was praying they would throw it on both downs. My fear was they would run the QB sneak with the Colts in their base 4-3 and get 5 yards before anyone touched Brady. #billbelichick
