For some reason, Billy Gillispie hid them in his office. The team just received the shirts yesterday. [Kentucky Sports.com]

<![CDATA[So Here's A Story About How Ashley Judd Almost Got Kentucky In Trouble With The NCAA]]> Ashley Judd could be one of the more annoying of the celebrity super-fans. It is adorable when famous people are so vocal about their teams, but screamin' Ashley just tends to overdo it a bit.

We get it. You love Kentucky. You wear tight shirts that say Kentucky across your boobs. Now stop yelling so much.

Moving on.

Judd went on the Dan Patrick show today to give the Calipari hire her blessing and the relayed a story about how she once almost broke an NCAA violation rule when she almost gave Tayshaun Prince's mother a ride.

From Sports Radio Interviews:

"I once offered Tayshaun Prince's mother a ride somewhere and someone came running up to me afterwards saying "Honey, you can't do that."… She's the most precious woman, she drove the public bus in the Nashville Public Transit System and didn't get to see Tayshaun play very much at at all…and I was going to be going over to the Kentucky game at the University of Tennessee, I offered her a ride and Sandy Bell, our NCAA officer…she just hustled her rear end right up to me and said "Babe, you cannot do that."

In the movie remake of this, Tayshaun Prince's mother will have some skeletons in her closet that the unassuming Ashley Judd won't find out about until it's too late. Sandy Bell will be played by Morgan Freeman.

<![CDATA[The Calipari Daughters Should Probably Get Off Of Facebook Immediately]]> Although the piles of money and ego-stroking are enormous when you join a big-time program like the University of Kentucky, there are downsides. You know, like a burgeoning online interest in your young daughters.

On the left, that's 22-year-old Erin Calipari, a former guard for University of Massachusetts, who's on her way to graduate school. Then there's 19-year-old Megan Calipari, who's transferring over from the University of Memphis to enroll at UK. (That's probably for the best. No matter how pretty she is, she probably wouldn't be the most popular girl on campus.) But they're both popular on Facebook. Since their father took the UK job, they've officially become the First Family of Lexington and with that comes a new, stalker-like level of admiration, including Facebook fan clubs. Yes, We Heart Megan Calipari and We Luv Erin Calipari took all of a few hours after John Calipari's press conference to go live. I'm actually surprised The Door has yet to become fans of either one of them.

Anyway, uh, best of luck to these ladies. And for the love of God — do your best to keep candid, possibly revealing photos of yourselves off the internet. You're royalty now.

<![CDATA[Kentucky Football Player Charged with Stalking, Poor Use of Movie Quotes]]> Junior strong safety Ashton Cobb was not in the line up on Saturday for Kentucky's game against rival Western Kentucky. It wasn't your typical football injury that kept Cobb off the field but rather an arrest and subsequent suspension from the university. Cobb has been charged with "second-degree stalking, third-degree terroristic threatening, and harassing communications" that included eerie lines from The Joker in The Dark Knight.

From the Lexington Herald-Leader:

Cobb's ex-girlfriend said he called her about 19 times and sent about 15 text messages on Thursday, court records say. In one voicemail message he used profane language, saying he would kill and rape her.

He then sent a text message that read, "Why so serious?" referencing the Joker from the newest Batman movie, court records say.

While persistence is often a valued characteristic — heck, A.J. called me 12 times yesterday — threats of murder and rape are obviously criminal offenses.

Cobb is originally from Aliquippa, Pa, which I'll have you know is nowhere near Philadelphia.

<![CDATA[The Daily Dicky Comes to Kentucky]]>

In the form of Kentucky's outspoken wide receiver Dicky Lyons, Jr.. You'll recall that Lyons spent SEC Media Days discussing his dreams about Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford trying to steal away his fiancee. Now he's providing daily video updates as Kentucky prepares for their opening game against Louisville.

Per the UK Athletics staff:

During preseason football camp, UKAthletics.com will provide a daily interview with senior wide receiver Dicky Lyons Jr., in a feature called “The Daily Dicky.” Lyons will provide a behind the scenes look into what goes on at the Nutter Training Center on and off the field as the Wildcats prepare for their season-opener at Louisville on Aug. 31.

Yep, the Daily Dicky from Nutter Field. The video clips are really weird so far. It's kind of like Andy Kauffman is playing wide receiver for Kentucky. For instance, Lyons on why he chose the number 12: "As you know I wear this number 12...cause I always like to say, you gotta look out for number 1 without stepping in number 2." Also, Lyons has a two-part interview with a teammate that makes no sense. Pretty soon he's going to be reading The Great Gatsby during 7 on 7's.
