    @Eamus Catuli: 2 Deadspinners got the boot from the Cell. I didn't even know they had any sort of standards regarding public drunkeness in the place. And I was not allowed to buy any more beer for another one. He was cut off. If you could see the drunks in that place, you would have new found respect for the level of drunkeness that took place this year.

    Hard for me to blame the initial bar for a gas leak considering the place is the longest continually operating bar in Chicago - it's old as hell and I'm sure things fall apart occasionally. It even served during Prohibition -- there are benefits to being across the street from the Democratic HQ for that ward.


    As for it being the Pirates, well, at least it's a team the Sox should beat. Last year I at least had some optimism. This year, uh, not so much.


    Just hoping I can go. Normally my wife and I are in Detroit for Memorial Day weekend, but she has a potential school program of several weeks in China that she would leave for the prior week, leaving me to be a jackass for several weeks, and therefore ensuring my presence.

    I did it 2 years ago and won't organize it again. Took a bath on unused tickets and several people backed out at the last moment and left me holding already purchased tickets. Good time was had by those who did attend. I will go, if someone else does it.

    25 is the minimum for group sales. We could do fewer if we each bought individual tickets to the same game. We'd just all have to arrange for a game to go to. There are more locals now than there were 2 years ago.
