Squatting for that photo is the most effort Abreu has made on a field in 5 seasons.

It's a lot more tasteful than the Boston Globe's headline: "BoSox Blindsided By Speedy Angels".

Tommy Smyth thinks a story about soccer in Myanmar is the perfect time to tell you about how many Irishmen have played for United over the years.

I heard Gary Glitter said Myanmar is "played out", whatever that means.

Speaking of Gary Glitter, the Spurs just got Richard Jefferson for Oberto, Bowen and Kurt Thomas.

which is only slightly more illogical than "Coal Bears."

But still considerably less illogical than Real Salt Lake.

it really is more than just a game. It's an expression of freedom.

Gary Bettman sees an opportunity here. He thinks he can completely crush that expression of freedom in one year and bring those crowds from 10,000 to maybe 500. How bout you give him a shot?

"Early indications" meaning the Brooklyn Italian union doorman at the WSJ office who said he would never watch "a bunch of seven-foot darkies put a ball through a hole" if it weren't Van Gundy waving his arms around on the sideline.

Just a terrible WSJ article. Note how Barra, author of a recent book on Yogi Berra, somehow shoehorns in a Yogi quote. Brutal.

I also can't get used to Phil Jackson putting on weight and wearing his hair longer, along with going more salt than pepper. It's freaking me out, man!

That picture looks a it was taken at a press conference where he was apologizing for hurting his family OR disrepecting the US House of Representitives AND/OR fully admitting he lip synched his #1 single.

Personally, I identify better with Phil Jackson, but mostly for inappropriate lust after my boss's children.
