Here's something that's been stuck in my craw for a couple of weeks, because I can't quite figure it out. Barry Melrose coached in the NHL for exactly three seasons. In two of them, he missed the playoffs, which was almost impossible in the early '90s NHL. The NHL season hasn't even really started yet, but the Tampa Bay Lightning already have two losses. That's the same number of losses my rec league hockey team has and we didn't even have to go to the Czech Republic to earn them. (Heck, we don't even have uniforms.)
