Jon Bon Jovi wants to buy an NFL team. He tried to buy the Bills earlier this year, and “continues to monitor the Titans’ ownership situation closely,” according to CBS’s Jason La Canfora.
Amy Adams Strunk, the daughter of Titans founder Bud Adams, is the controlling owner of the franchise, but she does not have full legal control of the team. The NFL mandates that one person control each team, and the Titans have already incurred a hefty fine for their noncompliance. Rumors about a possible sale have surrounded the team since Adams died in 2013, but Adams Strunk has insisted that the team is not for sale.
She spoke to USA Today this afternoon and reiterated her desire not to sell the team.
“I don’t know how many different ways to say it. Haven’t talked to Bon Jovi or anybody else for that matter, and it’s not for sale.
“It’s part of our heritage – my dad’s legacy. We’re not going anywhere.”
Good news is, there are plenty more NFL teams and it’s not Now Or Never. That is, if he can even afford to buy an NFL team.
