when I was a kid, we went to a small-town Texas rodeo where, at halftime (or whatever they call it at a rodeo) they put all the childrens in the middle of the arena and turned loose a calf with a string around its neck; whichever kid ripped off the string first got to keep the cow. I can still feel that twine slipping through my fingers... this sort of activity isn't barbaric, it's just plain fun. maybe if we made kids run after their dinner more often, we could knock out obesity. can't you just see it now? a McDonalds with a livestock pen? like how you have to pick out your own lobster?

Once again, the rest of the world proves how backwards we Americans are...what's next..no more rodeos? This "sheep wrangling" you speak of is akin to our calf roping, no? Bull riding? I guess PETA-pecka will be giving New Zealand it's Limp-Wristed Country of the Year Award.

is this like that dude at oregon state who got drunk and "stole" a sheep that was being used in a homosexual study about livestock? seems like it.
