Sandberg had a really hot wife back before his first retirement. Her name was Cindy; they always looked awkward together because he's so shy and she was hot. (Keep in mind, I'm talking 80s type of hot so it's different). Pretty sure Mark Grace and Davey Martinez hit that too. And that she had a lot to do with that first retirement, since he remarried and then made a comeback.

Apparently, Palmeiro's gigolo ways weren't just a Chicago staple either. There is a rumor within the Orioles organization that when Raffy was in Baltimore during the mid-1990's, he was offering mustasche rides to Brady Anderson's fiancee. Although in all honesty, knowing what has been rumored about Anderson since then, he may not have really cared too much.

I think the Twins are set with Mourneau at 1st base. And if they're not, I'm sure they would rather spend their 2nd or 3rd draft pick on someone who might have some upside. Raffy will probably never play again, and I say good riddens. Hopefully the BWAA will keep him out of the HOF with their votes but with their track record, I doubt it. And BTW, the only reason why T.O. is more disliked is because the ESPN-NFL industrial complex chooses to keep NFL players down to help make the owners rich. NFL players under the current NFLCBA have no recourse but to hold out for more money. They Eagles should have paid T.O. a long time ago.

On Raffy's first pass through the orioles (during the Reign of Ripken), I used to see him at Charity events in b-more. He was much more stand up guy, and better yet, had a smoking hot wife with a devastating smile. What does Ryne Sanburg's wife look like ? anyone have an idea?

I doubt the Twins want him (they need no bad publicity if they're ever to get a ballpark), but I think Raffy's a potential power bat that I assume could come for cheap. If the Twins were willing to try to fix Bret Boone, they can see if Raffy's got any andro left in the tank. But then, I'm the one tin-foil hatter who thinks Raffy was framed to break the union's anti-testing stand.
