What I learned watching the Masters this weekend: -Tim Herron has bigger tits than Phil Mickelson and John Daly combined. -Tim Clark is a three feet tall. -Phil Mickelson beats his daughter. -It may improve your game, but using a cross-handed putter still makes you look like a pussy. -What makes you special, IBM? The ability to waste millions of dollars on ads that don't fucking mean anything. -Tiger Woods plays golf with all the joy of a man being disemboweled.

Matt- I believe that in Spain, the 's' and 'z' sounds *are* pronounced with an audible lisp, differing from the Spanish spoken in North and South America. I tend to think that Verne is saying his name correctly. As for why Tiger cares so much, I caught a bit of his 60 Minutes interview, and he spent a good chunk of it discussing his competitiveness and how much he wants to beat everybody, even Ed Bradley at cards. While I think Phil Mickelson is (obviously) a great player, that competitive fire can seem to wax and wane sometimes in him. I'd also have to agree with BigTDog -- ragging on the women's sports may be du jour. But the last women's major was pretty awesome in its shotmaking, and this Masters fell flat. I think that sometimes they do make the U.S. Open and now the Masters a bit too tough, and unless one or two people catch fire, it came become a war of attrition like it was today.

Sportszilla: I don't watch many women's majors...but how was this Masters any different than the US Open in the past 10 years (other than Tiger crushing everyone at Pebble)?

The problem with this tournament is that it reminded me too much of watching women's golf...for those of you that haven't, major women's golf tournaments basically consist of seeing who can make the fewest mistakes. I swear, this women may be able to kick my ass on the course, but they miss a TON of makable putts, they miss some wide fairways, and generally fail to impress. Most of the time, PGA tournaments don't come down to that, but today it did.

To tell you how pathetic my life is, I scheduled my eating schedule--and my life--around the Masters today: a banana in the morning to only pique my hunger, but when 2:30pm EST rolled around, well it was time for the just perfect barbecue chicken, ribs, and other delights from my grill on a lovely spring day here in Michigan. Too bad today's golf action didn't match the anticipation of heading into a Sunday with such a star-studded leaderboard. I found myself rooting for the nappy-haired Jimenez, partly because he has nappy hair that Jacquim Noah would be jealous of, and partly because everytime Verne Lundquist said his name, he pronounced the last syllable brokeback style--with a lisp where the "z" would have been--maybe that's how they say it in el sur de Espana--but it was still pretty wack hearing everyone else saying "Jimenezzzzzzzz", and Verne just off on his own. Don't they have production meetings about this stuff to get everyone on the same page? Yea, Tiger couldn't make a put--if he makes that 10 footer for eagle on 13 it would have made for a very interesting finish, alas, like most his puts today, it found the edge but didn't drop. The anquish on Tiger's face after he misses a putt on Sunday in a major is worth the price of admission. The man seems to care more than everyone else combined, and then still goes him to millions and a Swedish model wife--how does he do it? And dizamn Deadspin--a Dead Prez reference--that will certainly wash the Nantz off the palette. I recommend some Immortal Technique after the next Bush speech.

Elin wins that one B.P..... Amy was hot back when she was in S.I. but now that she has shot out 18 kids, my guess is that it is straight up roast beef curtains down there... and you know exactly what I mean. I agree that the masters had a lackluster finish much like the NCAA tourney. I have mixed feelings though... I am glad that Tits McGee has been tearing it up lately because it is good to have someone to compete with T Woo, but on the other hand, we all know Philly Cheese Steak can't hang mentally on a weekly basis and it would be a lot more exciting if Veege or Ernie was up there competing with Eldrick. Veege is the only golfer that has a chance to be the Arnie to Eldrick's Jack, but I hope Hefty proves me wrong. Jim Nance needs to go away, and realize that Mike Torico his better than him every thing except for that close range rape stare that he Jim drops on Lanny or Packer whenever the camera cuts to them.
