Before he heads out, he founds a nationwide fundraising machine, good for millions of dollars, with an easily identifiable symbol that puts supporters in touch with one another. He vehemently defends his past accomplishments and thumbs his nose and press "haters" while nuturing the attention of friendly media. He makes a number of public appearances, but tries to avoid contraversy. Then, he is only willing to don the jersey again for a local event...in Iowa...that includes a lot of pie eating and glad handing.

This can only mean one thing - Lance is going to be a candidate in the Iowa Caucuses in 18 months.
