Two things - one, the Free Darko post is absolutely genius. It takes it to a new level.

As for Pippen, how anyone that says that he's overrated is simple mindboggling. Without Pippen, Jordan is nothing. He's Vince Carter without the gay. Pippen is one of the greatest teammates of all time, a guy who did it all and yet lived in Jordan's shadow. He took the Bulls to within a bull sh*t Hue Davis foul of the Eastern Conference finals by himself.

And this is coming from a Knicks fan. Know your enemy, people.

spectator - rant away. I wish I could say I was surprised, but I had assumed that Gulati would fuck it up all along.

They clearly HAD a deal on the table but Gulati wouldn't cede control (i.e., he wanted to make sure that MLS players like Lumox Donovan wouldn't be left off the squad). Whatever progress that U.S. soccer has made over the last 10 years or so is totally out the window. But hey, I hear Sven Goran Erikson is still available.

And how about that boring Champions League game from Arsenal?

Geez, that was like games theory brought to life -- if it's a tie, both teams win. Arsenal are going to get their asses handed to them by Chelsea this weekend, but it will be funny to see all the bank notes waved by the Gunners supporters whenever Ashley Cole touches the ball.
