Rationally I know what you are saying is correct. I am also sure that I only remember the cases where someone "takes" the dealers bust card, and I'm a lot less likely to remember the cases where the dealer busts because the guy on 3rd base didn't play it "correctly". I actually do believe that people should play their cards how they like.. but its one thing at a $5 table and another when I'm betting $100 / hand.

Also, if I was completely rational I wouldn't in the damn casino in the first place.

Whether or not someone sitting ahead of your position at the table takes a card or not, it does not appreciably change your odds in a multiple deck shoe. The whole "taking the dealer's bust card" is complete bullshit. There is just as much chance that the a player will improve the odds by taking a small card.

If you don't want other players screwing with your game, go play at an empty table. Of course, my odds of survival would subtantially decrease if I said that to Porter.
