After a few jays fans were forcibly carted off by the police and the game seemed to safely be in toronto's hands, a young boston fan displayed why I so dearly love sox fans: He openly began taunting the crowd, opening up a shower of beercups, trash and insults, while making no effort whatsoever to shield his girlfriend.

1000% percent typical. rsr26, I had a beer thrown on me at Fenway as a 5'3", 100lb 17-year-old female, by a large [in all ways] middle aged man, to the cheers of many, upon zero verbal or physical provocation (other than wearing an NY hat, which last I checked was a legal thing to publicly do) and that was a while before 2004. Bunch of troglodytes who don't even have the brains to throw a punch (free) rather than waste a beer (not free) (or pizza for that matter (also usually not free)). I do have one sane, smart, normal, lifelong Red Sox fan friend, and he too hates Red Sox fans and even he avoids them at all costs. It's pretty hard to find a sports-fan people-set with less class, outside of Philly.
