I was going to rejoin this little party, but after reading through some 200 comments on marching bands and musicals, I realized that I had completely lost the flow.

My only addition to the conversation would be that I too played trumpet, but hated marching so much that I picked a fight with my high school director, called her a psychotic bitch, and was asked to no longer be a band student. Funnily, THAT was my punishment.
