@UkraineNotWeak: I bought the min. amount for a group package (25) and once those were all claimed, I told the rest where we'd be sitting so they could buy adjacent seats.

I asked that checks be mailed to me. Once I got them, I marked down on the spreadsheet, and sent an email to the person who sent it to me, acknowledging that I received payment, and whether or not they wanted me to hold onto the ticket or to mail it to them. A few sent me SASE (those who wouldn't be joining us at the pregaming) but most asked that I hold onto the tix.

I preferred payment before the day of the game. I think I allowed 2 people to pay me on game day, though.

And I asked for checks, only because I didn't feel like dealing with Pay Pal.

I paid the 25% deposit up front and paid the rest in installments. For the most part, the installments coincided with people paying. Again, I benefitted from having months of planning and a sympathetic sales rep; the Sox's policy was to have everything paid by a certain date but the rep let me do things in installments.
