Man, lot of ragging on the 'Skins ...

We have top-flight talent at the skill positions - Portis, Santana, Cooley - on offense, a young QB with a laser, rocket arm and an extremely skilled and veteran OL. On defense, we've got first round picks everywhere; some of whom should be starting to earn that pay-check this season. The last few games of the '06 season, Andre Carter looked scary (good) as opposed to the scary (bad) he looked the first ten weeks. Carlos Rogers, Freddie Smoot, Sean Springs, Sean Taylor and Laron Landry make a pretty filthy secondary if you ask me ... I want to see a Taylor-Landry high/low hit that actually breaks someone in half. Marcus Washington and Rocky are nasty on the outsides, and everyone will funnel the RBs into London's over-rated arms; but so long as he brings them down, things will be looking up.

Final Outlook: 11-5 record; NFC Wild-Card

My favorite Redskins moment was at Super Bowl XXVI. Following each Redskins score the Metrodome would play 'hail to the redskins'. After we went up 37-10 my dad turned to the Bills section adjacent to us and said "come on Bills fans, you got to know the words by now".

The appalling thing is that the Skins went to the playoffs in '05 by playing classic Gibbs football - pounding rushing attack with occasional deep bombs. Why the hell they felt compelled to bring in Al Saunders is beyond me. After going through Turner (an idiot), Schotty (a has-been), Spurrier (a never-was at the pro level) and Gibbs (who knows), what's left? Cowher? Tedford? Sonny Jurgensen?
