I get SI, ESPN and Sporting News (I poop a LOT during a given week), and it's gotten to the point where the one I actually look forward to the most is Sporting News. At least they don't try to write features and know their niche (insider information about specific teams), as opposed to the third-grade level feature writing in SI and ESPN.

In a given poop, I'd rather read about five (or ten, depending on the Courics) different NFL teams than be insulted by another SI fluff piece.

I've been subscribing to SI for nearly 25 years. It has gone downhill, and the shocking thing ESPN the Magazine has improved slightly. ESPN looking less like a website in print and having more well written long form pieces, though the SI article on the Lions practice Squad was quite good.
