Hey, at least it was a D-1 team), then they fill out the rest with home-and-homes that have recently included FSU, Washington, Tennessee.

Navy went 8-4 this year, and without looking I think Air Force has a similar record. Granted ND should wipe the field with them, but they are better than the Youngstown State, Kent, and Arkon on tOSU's schedule. Not mention the conference match-ups against Minnesota, Northwestern and a couple of other bad Big 10 teams.

I'm not picking on tOSU here. Look at pretty much any big program save USC. They almost all schedule 3-4 joke non-conference games to go with the bottom feeders of their conferences. Top to bottom ND's schedule is one of the tougher ones year in and year out.

I know I'm upset partially because I'm a Georgia fan, but if the job of the BCS is to pick a national champion, and somehow we're less good this week while Ohio State is better, even though neither of our teams played this week, then it failed miserably.

The other point I'm chafed about is the bowl matchups -- if the BCS picks one game regardless of opponents' tradition, shouldn't the bowls then say screw all the stupid traditions they have and actually set up some good matchups? Basically, you've crushed the hopes of the Georgia players and now you say "go play some team no one cares about and out of which no good possible result can come for you."

When someone asked him in the week leading up to their matchup with OSU at Ohio Stadium, Brown lamented the fact that non-con matchups like the one about to unfold were about to go the way of the dodo because there was no BCS incentive to play a difficult schedule in order to make the title game. Oddly (but not ironically) enough, his prophecy came true for the team he was about to play, albeit two years later.

If they had won their games, they wouldn't be on the outside looking in. So shut up.
