i think most people were surprised tOSU hung in as long as they did. the fact is that the BigTen and their coaches are still stuck in 1982 when it comes to strategy. if Rodriguez doesn't win this conference every year that he's at Michigan, it'd be a surprise. at one point last nite LSU actually had all 4 members of the olympic 400 meter relat team on the field. if a team is universally considered the underdog going into a game and they lose, did they really 'choke'?

i understand that the header to this is witty, punny wordplay or whatever and that it's the new cool thing to add an -eaux to words with the long 'o' sound when talking about LSU, but when the tigers, a better team from the strongest conference in college football beats OSU, a team who entered and exited this season with incredibly low expectations, i don't see how you can call it a chokejob on the bucks' part.

@The Gentleman Masher: If not for that questionable roughing the kicker call/decision to rush the punter OSU has the ball in good field position down 14 after a big defensive stop, and can pull within a score. As for LSU getting cute it was what they were doing the whole game, the difference being that Heacock stopped blitzing and dropped 7 into coverage.

@Chief Wahoo: One Buckeye fan disagrees with both this and Shanoff. The game wasn't as close as the scoreboard, but it was hardly a shellacking or whatever Tebeax's beau said.

I really don't understand Shanoff's venom at OSU. Any rational fan saw this as a rebuilding year. The schedule was soft, but OSU can't control down years from UW or the conference. Were they supposed to turn down the BCS game (after everybody else kept losing?) It's not like Tressel was out there campaiging for the slot, like one Urban Meyer.
