I live (transplant) in Rolen's hometown (Jasper, Ind.). I say hometown, though he's long since forgotten about this place. There are people here though who have named their children after him and are very upset at all of this. His attitude toward LaRussa is keeping with the attitudes of people here. No one's going to tell him what to do and he'll take his ball and go home if they do.

Like my co-worker said though, I don't think this guy even likes playing baseball. He just does it because he's good at it.
