@UkraineNotWeak: Did you appeal it? In maryland as long as you dont have another ticket in the last year you can usually get probation before judgement if you ask. Still have to pay the fine, plus like $40 to the court, but it doesnt get reported to insurance if you dont get another one for a year. Saved me a fortune over the years.

@White Speed Receiver: No, I know, it's very frustrating because they're not playing well right now and they need to get their act together as we head down the stretch. The dismissal of Kevin Quick from the team I think shook them a little bit, so I am hoping they can turn this negative into a positive. They close the stretch with Lake State, Michigan State (at Munn, at the Joe), and Ferris, so if you're going to get healthy and figure it out, that's where to do it. The only time they've looked good since the GLI is the two games against Notre Dame, so yeah, I'm worried on some level, but I am hoping this is just the ennui of February.

@Yostal: Without resorting to too much of a WCHA douchebag attitude, that's not good. Miami's defense was atrocious in the 1st. That first goal was something you'd expect from HS with no defenders and 2 Wolverines in front of the net. And the two other non-breakaways were pretty close to the same thing. Last nitpick: The 2nd Miami goal was disturbing. That guy just carved his way untouched through your zone.

I hope to get her a doxie companion in the next year or so. She needs a minion to do her bidding. She is great about watching football with me, although, judging from this pic, she doesn't appear to be as much of a Razorback fan as me.

@Hank Scorpio: she's a rescue as well - we've got no idea what all happened to her in the first six months of her life, but she's got a fairly misshapen front leg and her hip is off line as well, so we are pretty sure what happened to her wasn't good. So we do our best to give her a good life now.

@White Speed Receiver: so does mine! She is a dachshund/beagle mutt, yet she is the undisputed alpha of our apartment complex. She's been running the show in our dog run for nearly 3 years. It's so weird. When she was in obedience class as a pup, there was a Great Dane in her class. The Great Dane would roll over and let her climb all over him. She figured if she was the boss of that horse, she must be the boss of everything.

However, Dogtopia tends to seperate them by size. And she is apparently the queen of the castle there as well.

What's fucked up is the marketing and consumer expectation. Labels push Nora Jones and the like for the crossover appeal, and the consumer has come to think of jazz only in terms of "lite" jazz. @Token_Tennis_Fan: Thank you. Anyone who hasn't seen "Before the Music Dies", I suggest you do so. It's all about who sells. You could be an amazing musician but if you're not "photogenic" or personable, you're going fucking nowhere. On the other hand, find a hot girl (or guy for that matter) invent her a persona and let Pro Tools do what it does you'll sell a mil...on the first record. After that it's "who can we use next?".
